A Mass payment or a batch payment is when you send payments to multiple recipients in a single batch, rather than processing each one individually. Our mass payments method allows you to create and send multiple transactions to multiple receivers in various currencies with a single payment. It's ideal for companies who have a need to make multiple regular payments to a large number of receivers in various currencies. It has immense potential to save you both time and money. We also have an API solution for companies who have substantially large volumes.
You can create a mass payment by following this simple process:

You have the option of choosing whether the sender or recipient pays the fee:
1. If Sender is paying:
In the ‘Specify Send or Receiver Amount’ column in the payment file select ‘receive amount’ if you want to pay the charge for a particular payment. We'll factor in the fee while figuring out how much to pay.
2. If Receiver is paying:
In the Specify Send or Receiver Amount’ column in the payment file select ‘send amount’ if you want your recipient to pay the charge for a particular payment. We'll factor in the fee when calculating the amount your recipient receives.
We suggest paying for your batch of payments as soon as you send us the file(s) for processing via email. This will ensure that you get the latest exchange rate for that day as we can only process your payments once we receive the funds. If you are unable to pay immediately, your transfers will be kept typically for a day before being automatically cancelled by our system – we can discuss this further based on your specific requirements.

Yes, it is possible to pay out in several currencies. We have created file templates to assist you with these payments. However if you have a specific requirement, simply reach out to us at business@singx.co and let us know which currencies you need to send to, so that we can build a customized template for you.
Our customer service specialist will reach out to you to help you resolve the errors.
When you make a mass payment, we process each payment individually. Each payment is checked and confirmed to ensure all the relevant details are included. This means that you can monitor the payments at an individual level by logging in to your SingX dashboard. It's important to remember that even if a payment is successfully processed by SingX, it could still be rejected or require further action by the receiving bank or partner. We will notify you if this happens and re-process the transaction where applicable.
We will process the payments as soon as we receive the funds from you. Once SingX has processed them, it typically takes from a few hours to a few days depending on the country and currency you are sending to. For details on processing times by corridor click here
If you'd like to automate your payments, you can use our open API to do so – just write in to us at business@singx.co with your requirements and we’ll be happy to assist you.
Absolutely! You can provide all the receiver and payment details to us in advance. On the day that you wish to send out the payments, we will calculate the total payable amount based on the live exchange rates.

Why do I get an error when I upload my batch payment file?
You can download a file that shows which of your transfers have errors and why if you receive an error during the file upload process. To do so, select the “download output” file option from the pop-up menu. This file will create a copy of your original batch file with the addition of a new column named "error code." It will show you all of your transfers and which ones have errors. You can go over the file and make any changes you want. Save it and re-upload it when you're done.
If you've double-checked everything and still can't upload the batch file, please contact our business support team and send us the output file along with the error messages. You may also continue with setting up the transfers that are free of errors. Only the ones with errors will be removed from the batch.
The following are examples of common mistakes:
1. The format of your file is not .xls.
2. The size of your file exceeds 5MB.
3. Your batch file contains more than 1,000 transfers or recipients.
4. The names of the columns in the header row have been modified.
5. It's possible that you used punctuation or special characters.
Fields that are not needed are left vacant.
How do I fix a batch payment error?
After you upload your.CSV file, you'll be alerted if any of your transfers have errors. You'll be given the option of either fixing the errors or removing the errors and continuing with the batch payment. You could always patch the erroneous transfers later and add them to a separate batch payment register.
If you want to correct errors in your batch payment transfers, click the "Download output file" link that appears. This will create a copy of your original batch file with the addition of a new column named "Error code." To correct any transfers that have errors, use the details in this "Error message" column. You can then re-upload the file.
If you continue to have issues, please share the file containing the errors to our business support team, and we will assist you in resolving the problem.
The Cut-off time for receiving a mass payments file is 5 pm Singapore standard time. If you send us the file after this cut off, we will process it within the next working day, as quickly as we can.
